Dulbecco ’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM) is one of the most widely used modifications of Eagle ’s medium
that contains approximately four times as much of vitamins and amino acids present in the original formula.
Additionally the formulation also includes glycine, serine and ferric nitrate. DMEM is suitable for most types of cells,including human,monkey, hamster, rat, mouse, chicken and fish cells.

Cells successfully culture in DMEM include Primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, smooth muscle cells, as well as cell lines such as Hela, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12 .the additional glucose has proved to be useful in cultivating variouse other cell lines.Specifically , this product (BI-1003) is Dulbecco ’s Modified Eagle Medium with Glucose (high concentration: 4.5g/l) ,

This medium (BI-1003) is a modified form of the basic DMEM medium containing high levels
of glucose (4.5 g / L),  HEPES (15 mM ), glutamax / L-glutamine, pyruvate,sodium bicarbonate ,and phenol red.
HEPES (4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethane- sulfonic acid),a zwitterionic chemical buffering agent is used for better maintaining the physiological pH changes in carbon dioxide concentrations.
